10th Anniversary Event of CCCC's Joint Construction of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) held

CCCC showcased its commitment to the corporate vision of "making the world more smooth, making the city more livable, making the life more colorful".
On December 15, CCCC organized an event in Beijing with the theme "In the Prosperous Silk Road's Glow, Together We Construct a Brighter Tomorrow" to mark the tenth anniversary of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI). Wang Haihuai, General Manager of CCCC, attended the event and delivered a speech. The event brought together 15 foreign envoys from 10 countries, including Pakistan, South Sudan, Uganda, and Panama.
In his speech, Wang Haihuai stated that as a global leader in large-scale integrated infrastructure services, CCCC has, over the past decade of the BRI, constructed high-quality projects in partner countries, contributing to local well-being and economic development. Looking forward, CCCC will continue to deepen cooperation with BRI partner countries, contributing CCCC's wisdom and strength to build a world that is open, inclusive, interconnected, and shares common development.
During the event, CCCC unveiled ten key projects under the BRI, including the Mombasa-Nairobi Standard Gauge Railway in Kenya, the China-Maldives Friendship Bridge, and the Karakoram Highway in Pakistan, showcasing China's achievements in roads, bridges, ports, and cities.
Khalil Hashmi, Ambassador of Pakistan to China, expressed that the Karakoram Highway Phase II project is the lifeline of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, reflecting the wisdom of the Chinese builders in many aspects.

The conference released the CCCC's BRI Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Report, along with a total of 15 ESG reports on its listed companies, branded enterprises, key countries, and key projects, as well as the BRI CCCC's top 10 cases of social responsibility under the BRI.
K. K. Yoganaadan, the Chargé d'Affaires of the Sri Lankan Embassy in China said that the BRI has brought positive impacts to Sri Lanka in foreign trade, tourism, and ecological conservation. The achievements of the Colombo Port City, undertaken by CCCC, in environmental protection have effectively preserved and enhanced the ecological environment and marine biodiversity around the project area.
The event also hosted an open day for the Malaysia's East Coast Rail Link project and the Nam Lik 1-2 Hydropower Project in Laos. An 8-year-old Malaysian girl, Najah Alya, shared the story of how the East Coast Rail Link project changed her and her family's life. Lao staff led on-site participants and global netizens on a tour of the Nam Lik 1-2 Hydropower Project.
The event featured an exhibition on CCCC's achievements in the Belt and Road Initiative over the past ten years. Through graphics, videos, sand tables, models, and other forms, the company showcased its commitment to the corporate vision of "making the world more smooth, making the city more livable, making the life more colorful".
